Meteotek'08

El proyecto Meteotek'o8 es una iniciativa de cuatro alumnos de entre 18 y 19 años del I.E.S. La Bisbal, Cataluña (España), Martí Gasull, Gerard Marull, Jaume Puigmiquel y Sergi Saballs, con la ayuda de su profesor Jordi Fanalls.
El objetivo era alcanzar la estratosfera con un globo de helio casero, empleando componentes fabricados por ellos mismos, con un coste de menos de 100 euros y un montón de horas de trabajo.
El lanzamiento se produjo con exito el pasado 28 de febrero y el globo alcanzó una altitud de 30.677 m antes de explotar. Después de 2 horas y 10 minutos, la sonda aterrizó a 38 Km de su punto de origen prácticamente intacta y con un buen número de fotografías .

The Meteotek'08 is an initiative of four students among 18 and 19 years of the High School La Bisbal, Catalonia (Spain), Martí Gasull, Gérard Marull, Jaume Puigmiquel and Sergi Saballs, with the help of their teacher Jordi Fanalls.
The objective was to reach the stratosphere with a home-made helium globe, using components made by themselves, with a cost of less than 100 Euros and a pile of working hours.
The launching took place in February,28 succesfully and the globe reached an altitude of 30.677 m before exploding. After 2 hours and 10 minutes of fly, the probe landed at 38 Km of the launching point practically intact, loaded with many good photographies.
